Yesterday while lining up for food at the after-church picnic, I overheard this conversation between a guest and a friend.
"So is she your daughter?"
To which our guest replied in an offended way, "Can't you tell from her stunning looks?"
*creak creak creak.. children playing in the background* I didn't hear a word from my friend, our guest or her daughter either.

Overheard elsewhere:
"I knew he knew me. He knew I knew him. We both know we knew each other."
A guy relating a story to his friend at a sidewalk bench in uni.
"Is generic okay?"
A pharmacist asked when a student handed over a prescription at the counter.
"Ladies and gentlemen, as you can see there's a fire in the cinema. I am not going to sell anymore tickets so would you please make your way downstairs now."
A ticket attendant who was politely trying to shoo customers away from a burning cinema.
What was i doing there? Lining up for tickets and like everyone else, hoping that the fire was small enough to be ignored. Apparently not.
